Jeremiah Chapter 13:
15 Hear and pay attention. Do not be haughty, for Jehovah has spoken.
15 ஜனங்களே, நன்றாகக் கவனித்துக் கேளுங்கள். பெருமையோடு நடந்துகொள்ளாதீர்கள். ஏனென்றால், யெகோவா இதைச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
16 Give glory to Jehovah your God Before he brings darkness And before your feet stumble on the mountains at dusk. You will hope for the light, But he will bring deep shadow; He will turn it into thick gloom.
16 உங்கள் கடவுளாகிய யெகோவா இருளை வர வைப்பதற்கு முன்பே, இருட்டும் நேரத்தில் நீங்கள் மலைகளில் தடுமாறி விழுவதற்கு முன்பே, அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள். வெளிச்சம் வரும் என்று நீங்கள் காத்திருப்பீர்கள். ஆனால், அவர் இருட்டைக் கொண்டுவருவார். எல்லாவற்றையும் கும்மிருட்டாக மாற்றிவிடுவார்.
17 And if you refuse to listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride. I will shed many tears, and my eyes will stream with tears, Because the flock of Jehovah has been carried away captive.
17 நீங்கள் அவருடைய பேச்சைக் கேட்காவிட்டால், நான் உங்களுடைய கர்வத்தை நினைத்து மறைவில் அழுவேன். யெகோவாவின் ஜனங்கள் சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்டுப் போனதை நினைத்து கதறிக் கதறி அழுவேன்; என் கண்ணீர் ஆறாக ஓடும்.
18 Tell the king and the queen mother, ‘Sit in a lower place, For your beautiful crown will fall from your head.’
18 நீங்கள் ராஜாவிடமும் அவருடைய தாயிடமும் போய், ‘சிம்மாசனத்தைவிட்டு இறங்கிவிடுங்கள். உங்கள் தலையில் இருக்கிற அழகான கிரீடங்கள் கீழே விழப்போகின்றன’ என்று சொல்லுங்கள்.
19 The cities of the south are shut, with no one to open them. All of Judah has been taken into exile, taken completely into exile.
19 தெற்கு நகரங்களின் நுழைவாசல்கள் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன; அவற்றைத் திறக்க யாருமே இல்லை. யூதா ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரையுமே எதிரிகள் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டு போனார்கள்; ஒருவரைக்கூட விட்டுவைக்கவில்லை.
20 Raise your eyes and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock you were given, your beautiful sheep?
20 வடக்கிலிருந்து வருகிறவர்களை நிமிர்ந்து பாருங்கள். உங்களிடம் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட அழகான ஆடுகள் எங்கே?
21 What will you say when your punishment comes From your close friends whom you cultivated from the start? Will not birth pains seize you, like those of a woman giving birth?
21 ஆரம்பத்திலிருந்து உங்கள் தோழர்களாக இருந்தவர்களே உங்களைத் தண்டிக்கும்போது நீங்கள் என்ன சொல்வீர்கள்? பிரசவ வேதனையில் துடிக்கிற பெண்ணைப் போலத் துடிக்க மாட்டீர்களா?
22 And when you say in your heart, ‘Why have these things befallen me?’ It is because of your great error that your skirts have been stripped off And your heels have been treated violently.
22 ‘எனக்கு ஏன் இப்படியெல்லாம் நடந்தது?’ என்று உள்ளத்தில் யோசிப்பீர்கள். நீங்கள் செய்த பயங்கரமான அக்கிரமங்களால்தான் உங்கள் மானம் பறிபோனது, உங்கள் குதிங்காலும் கடுகடுத்தது.
23 Can a Cushʹite change his skin, or a leopard its spots? If so, then you can do good, You who are trained to do bad.
23 கெட்டது செய்வதில் ஊறிப்போனவர்களே, கூஷியன் தன்னுடைய நிறத்தையும் சிறுத்தை அதன் புள்ளிகளையும் மாற்றிக்கொள்ள முடியுமா? முடியாதே! அப்படித்தான் உங்களாலும் நல்லது செய்ய முடியாது.
24 So I will scatter them like straw blown by the desert wind.
24 பாலைவனக் காற்றில் அடித்துச் செல்லப்படும் வைக்கோலைப் போல நான் உங்களைச் சிதறிப்போக வைப்பேன்.
25 This is your lot, the portion that I have measured out to you,” declares Jehovah, “Because you have forgotten me and you trust in lies.
25 இதுதான் நான் உங்களுக்கு அளந்து கொடுக்கும் கூலி” என்று யெகோவா சொல்கிறார். “ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் என்னை மறந்துவிட்டீர்கள். பொய்களை நம்புகிறீர்கள்.
26 Therefore, I will lift up your skirts over your face, And your shame will be seen,
26 அதனால், நான் உங்களுடைய ஆபாசத்தை எல்லாருக்கும் காட்டுவேன். உங்களுடைய வெட்கக்கேட்டையும்,
27 Your acts of adultery and your lustful neighing, Your obscene prostitution. On the hills, in the field, I have seen your disgusting behavior. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! How much longer will you remain unclean?”
27 முறைகேடான உறவையும், காமவெறியையும், மானங்கெட்ட விபச்சாரத்தையும் எல்லாரும் பார்க்கும்படி செய்வேன். மலைகளிலும் வயல்வெளிகளிலும்நீ ங்கள் செய்த அருவருப்புகளை நான் பார்த்தேன். எருசலேமே, உனக்குக் கேடுதான் வரப்போகிறது! இன்னும் எவ்வளவு காலத்துக்குத்தான் இப்படி அசுத்தமாக நடப்பாய்?”
